BAKU. June 26 (Interfax) - Baku sees Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan's remarks blaming Russia for surrendering Karabakh to Azerbaijan as an attempt to shift the blame for Armenia's defeat onto others, Azerbaijani presidential aide and foreign policy advisor Hikmet Hajiyev said.
"The statement by the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council is nothing but an attempt to cover up the defeat of the previous and current political-military leadership of Armenia, shift the blame onto others, and exonerate themselves," Hajiyev said in commenting on Grigoryan's remarks on his social account.
"It is regrettable to note that such statements reflect the persistence of revanchist fantasies in the mindset of the political-military leadership of Armenia," he said.
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said earlier that Russia surrendered Nagorno-Karabakh to Azerbaijan.
