Russian forces down 2 Ukrainian MiG-29 aircraft

MOSCOW. June 27 (Interfax) - Russian forces have downed two Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets in the special military operation zone, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"Air defense has downed two MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force, in addition to 62 unmanned aerial vehicles, four U.S.-made Patriot air defense guided missiles, and two projectiles of a U.S.-made HIMARS system," the ministry said.

A total of 615 Ukrainian planes have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation, it said.
