BRUSSELS. July 2 (Interfax) - The first F-16 fighter jets out of the 24 pledged by the Netherlands will soon arrive in Ukraine, the outgoing Dutch government said on Monday.
The Netherlands has finalized export licenses for the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren said in a letter to the parliament.
Ollongren did not disclose the number of planes in the first batch and the exact delivery date in her letter, citing security considerations.
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will swear in the country's new government on Tuesday.
Dick Schoof, former head of the General Intelligence and Security Service, will become the next prime minister of the Netherlands.
