MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Preparations for a visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Russia have practically been finalized, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"We will announce [the date] a bit later, with the consent of our Indian friends. Preparations for the visit are being finalized. This is a very important visit," Peskov told reporters.
He was asked about the issues to be addressed at Modi's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We are taking part in integration processes together. Hence, regional and global affairs are always high on the agenda. Besides, bilateral trade and economic cooperation are discussed as a priority. There is a variety of cooperation areas we are set to develop," Peskov said.
"Considering the relations of trust between President Putin and Prime Minister Modi, one can expect an exchange of views on every item on the agenda. There are lots of them," he said.
