Russian, Hungarian FMs discuss Ukraine, bilateral interaction by phone

MOSCOW. July 2 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto discussed Ukraine and the development of bilateral interaction by phone on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.

The ministers "hailed the achieved level of Russian-Hungarian political dialogue," the statement said.

"The parties stressed that bilateral interaction has continued to develop gradually in the spirit of healthy pragmatism and mutual benefit despite the extremely difficult international situation," the statement said.

Lavrov and Szijjarto also exchanged views on pressing international issues, it said. "While discussing the Ukrainian crisis, both ministers noted the need for Kiev to unconditionally ensure the rights of all ethnic minorities in the country," the statement said.
