Twenty-four drones destroyed in Kursk region in one day - authorities

KURSK. July 2 (Interfax) - Twenty-four Ukrainian drones were neutralized in the Kursk region on Tuesday, its acting governor Alexei Smirnov said.

"Small arms and electronic warfare weapons eliminated and disabled 24 Ukrainian drones in border areas during the day," Smirnov said on Telegram on Tuesday.

Discharges from Ukrainian quadcopters and kamikaze drone attacks were seen near the villages of Gordeyevka and Uspenovka (Korenevo district), Kalinovka (Khomutovka district), and Vesyoloye and Yelizavetovka (Glushkovo district), he said. There were no injuries.

In Kalinovka, an explosive device dropped from a quadcopter damaged a power line, causing power supply disruptions. The power supply has now been restored, Smirnov said.
