Russian FSB detains Primorye resident on treason counts

VLADIVOSTOK. July 3 (Interfax) - A resident of the Primorye Territory has been detained on treason counts, and a criminal case has been opened, the press service for the territorial border department of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said.

"Illegal activity of a local resident committing treason has been put to a stop. It was found that the Russian citizen provided consultations to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate by reporting vulnerabilities and ways of disabling railway transport facilities," the press service said.

Detectives from the FSB Primorye branch opened a criminal case on treason counts. The defendant was taken into custody.
