Russia, Turkey implementing major projects according to plan, new ones planned - Putin at meeting with Erdogan (Part 2)

ASTANA. July 3 (Interfax) - The relationship between Russia and Turkey is developing consistently, despite the complicated situation in the world, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at negotiations with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Astana on Wednesday.

"Despite all the current complexities in the global situation, relations between Russia and Turkey are developing consistently. We acknowledge a slight decline in our trade in the past few months, and yet it stays at quite a high level equivalent to $55 billion," Putin said.

Russia and Turkey are pursuing major joint projects according to schedule, Putin said. "There've been no hitches," he said.

"New projects have also been taking shape. We are very delighted about that, as well as about the opportunity to meet with you today to review the outcomes of our last year's work and outline some blueprints of what we're going to do within the foreseeable future in a personal conversation," Putin said.
