MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan cannot be a mediator at talks on settling the Ukrainian crisis, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"No, it is impossible," Peskov said in an interview with Channel One when asked about whether Erdogan could become a mediator in the Ukraine talks.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Turkish president held talks on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. They discussed the Ukraine issue, Peskov said.
