MINSK. July 4 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Astana on Thursday he was hoping to visit Pakistan before the end of this year.
"I will do my best to visit Pakistan before the end of this year," the presidential press service quoted Lukashenko as saying.
He proposed to finalize and approve a roadmap for the development of bilateral cooperation.
"A brief plan of our organizational events for this year is taking shape. Members of our intergovernmental commission will meet in September. Our prime minister will visit Pakistan in October for an event of the SCO heads of government. I very much want you to find time and meet with him. We could make a final evaluation of our action plan at the meeting. You and I could approve this plan, a roadmap, during my visit to Pakistan before the end of this year," Lukashenko said.
The period of familiarization with each other is over, and it is time for action, Lukashenko said.
