ASTANA. July 4 (Interfax) - For the time being, neither Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan nor anyone else can lead mediation efforts in the peace talks since Kiev completely refuses to talk, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"At this point, Ukraine refuses any kind of talks with Russia, with or without mediation," Peskov told reporters when asked whether Erdogan could be a mediator at talks on Ukraine crisis settlement.
Kiev strongly rejected the peace plan proposed by the Russian president, he said. "So presently, neither Erdogan nor anyone else can be a mediator," he said.
