Orban says upon coming to Moscow he will continue attempts to settle Ukraine crisis

BRUSSELS/MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said upon arriving in Moscow on Friday that he would seek to secure a resolution of the Ukraine crisis.

"The peace mission continues. Second stop: Moscow," Orban said on X, attaching a photo from the Russian capital.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, who also arrived in Moscow, said on social media that the trip is another step to finding a solution to the situation in Ukraine.

Orban had visited Kiev on July 2 for negotiations with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. This had been his first visit to the country since the start of the crisis.

Earlier this week, Orban asked Zelensky to think about negotiating a ceasefire for starting talks with Russia for settling the conflict.
