Putin, Orban to discuss Ukraine, other issues at talks in Kremlin - Peskov (Part 3)

MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will discuss Ukraine among other issues at talks in the Kremlin on Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Yes, Putin and Orban," Peskov told Pavel Zarubin, anchor of the Moscow.Kremlin.Putin program of the Rossiya 1 channel (VGTRK), in response to a related question.

As to whether Putin and Orban will be discussing Ukraine, Peskov said, "Among other issues."

Russian presidential aides Yury Ushakov and Vladimir Medinsky and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part in the Putin-Orban talks.

Bloomberg reported Orban's visit to Moscow earlier, citing the Hungarian state-run news agency MTI.

According to the news agency, Orban will discuss his peace mission aimed to settle the Ukraine conflict with the Russian leadership.

"As part of his peace mission, Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Moscow to meet with President Vladimir Putin of Russia," Orban's spokesman Zoltan Kovacs said on the X social network.

Orban said earlier on Friday he would represent Hungary only, not the European Union, in his contacts with Russia.
