MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - There has to be a complete end to the conflict in Ukraine, not just truce or ceasefire, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"Our peace initiative was presented quite recently during my meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Its fulfillment we believe would make it possible to end hostilities and start negotiations," Putin said following his meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Friday.
"However, this has to be something other than just truce or temporary ceasefire, or some kind of pause which the Kiev regime could use to recover losses, regroup and rearm. Russia stands for a complete and final end to the conflict," Putin said.
