Yerevan must remove territorial claims to Azerbaijan from constitution - Baku

BAKU. July 8 (Interfax) - The main condition of enduring peace between Baku and Yerevan is the removal of territorial claims to Azerbaijan from the Armenian constitution, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a meeting of the Organization of Turkic States' Council of Foreign Ministers in Shusha on Saturday.

Azerbaijan and Armenia continue talks on signing a peace agreement, and the main condition of a lasting peace agreement is the removal of Armenian territorial claims to Azerbaijan from numerous national legal and political documents, including the constitution that openly refers to the Declaration of Armenia's Independence, which urges the unification of Armenia and Karabakh, he said.

Azerbaijan is interested in enduring peace in the region more than anyone, Bayramov said.
