Belarusian-Chinese joint antiterrorist drills start in Belarus

MINSK. July 8 (Interfax) - Belarusian and Chinese military units have begun a joint antiterrorist exercise in Belarus, the state TV channel STV reported on Monday.

"Belarusian and Chinese militaries are beginning a joint antiterrorist exercise today, on July 8, to share best practices and improve cohesion between units. Members of the PRC People's Liberation Army were welcomed in our country yesterday," it said.

"The two countries discussed the organization of maneuvers involving special operations forces during the defense minister's visit to China last October. A decision on drawing up a roadmap for advancing military and military-technical interaction was also made at the time," it said.

The drills will continue until July 19.
