Azerbaijani FM notes progress in drafting peace agreement with Armenia

BAKU. July 8 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has noted a considerable reduction in the number of outstanding issues at the Baku-Yerevan peace agreement talks.

"The number of outstanding issues related to the peace agreement has fallen significantly," Bayramov told reporters on Monday.

Territorial claims against Azerbaijan remain in the Armenian constitution, Bayramov said. "Such issues need to be eliminated in order to achieve peace," he said.

Azerbaijan sent additional comments on the peace agenda to Armenia at the end of June, Bayramov said.

Azerbaijan was very clear about its peace agenda, he said.
