ROSTOV-ON-DON. July 8 (Interfax) - The authorities in Kherson region have permitted the sale of alcohol in the territory after an almost two-year ban, regional governor Vladimir Saldo said on Monday.
"From today, retail sales of alcohol and of alcohol products during provision of public catering is permitted in the Kherson region," Saldo said on Telegram.
A license to retail alcohol will be issued by the region's Industry and Trade Ministry.
The sale of alcohol was banned by Saldo's decree of November 9, 2022. The ban was imposed in accordance with the federal law on martial law, the document said.
