Seven injured in Ukrainian attack on Shebekino in Russia's Belgorod region - governor

BELGOROD. July 11 (Interfax) - Seven civilians were injured in a Ukrainian attack on the town of Shebekino in Russia's Belgorod region, the region's Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"Seven civilians, five women and two men, were injured. One woman with a fragmentation wound [...] is being transported by an ambulance to the hospital. Another woman suffered a closed head injury and fragmentation wounds [...]. Medics are transporting her to the regional hospital. The third injured woman received medical aid on the spot. She refused to be hospitalized," Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

Four more people reached Shebekino's central district hospital on their own, he said. They were provided with medical aid and will further receive outpatient treatment.

"Damage to two social facilities and three commercial facilities has been recorded thus far. Fifteen cars were scratched by shell fragments. The facades and windows of three apartment buildings were damaged," he said.

Gladkov said earlier in the day that one civilian died and three others were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on the Rzhevka village in the Shebekino urban district.
