Russian Defense Ministry reports carrying out airstrikes on Ukrainian army reserves in Sumy region

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Russian forces are carrying out airstrikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves moving from Ukraine's Sumy region towards the border with Russia in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"Airstrikes are being carried out on Ukrainian Armed Forces reserves moving from the Sumy region," it said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost up to 400 troops and 32 armored vehicles, including one tank, four armored personnel carriers, three infantry fighting vehicles, and 24 Kozak armored vehicles, over the past 24 hours, it said.
