MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Russia's northern group of forces has struck six Ukrainian brigades near communities in the Sumy and Kharkov regions and Daryino in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.
"Units from the northern group of forces have struck troops and hardware of the 22nd and 25th Mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 36th Marine Brigade, and the 88th, 103rd and 123rd Territorial Defense brigades near Zhuravka, Belovody and Yunakovka in the Sumy region, Volchansk in the Kharkov region, and Daryino in the Kursk region," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army lost up to 415 troops, four tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, 14 armored personnel carriers, 12 pickup trucks, five howitzers, and two Bukovel-AD EW stations, it said.
