Russian Defense Ministry reports destroying Ukrainian field ammunition storage in Kursk region

MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - Russian forces have destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces field ammunition storage in a border area of the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"In the course of reconnaissance activities in a border area in the Kursk region, Russian troops detected the enemy's camouflaged ammunition storage. Having analyzed the reconnoitered data, a decision was made to carry out a precision strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' ammunition storage," it said.

A strike carried out using a D-30 howitzer fully destroyed the ammunition storage, it said.

The ministry also published a video showing the strike.
