Putin, Russian Security Council permanent members discussing certain aspects of antiterrorist fight (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Security Council permanent members are discussing the fight against terrorism.

"Today's agenda of the operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council has a very important item concerning certain aspects of the antiterrorist fight. Alexander Vasilyevich [Bortnikov, director of the Federal Security Service], please take the floor," Putin said at the meeting and invited Bortnikov to begin his report.

The meeting involved State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, FSB Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin, Special Presidential Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov, and Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev.
