Belarusian, Russian troops to hold joint live-fire exercise at Russia's Ashuluk training range

MINSK. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Representatives of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Force are heading to Russia for a joint tactical exercise on the Ashuluk training range, the Belarusian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

"Servicemen of the Air Force and Air Defense Force are departing to the Russian Federation for a joint tactical live-fire exercise," the statement said.

Servicemen are flown by an Ilyushin Il-76MD, it said. Earlier, some servicemen left in military trains.

"The servicemen will raise the level of cohesion and drill new tactical techniques and methods of anti-air and air battles during the exercise at the Ashuluk range," the statement said.
