NAC: 110 terror attacks prevented in Russia since start of year

MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - A total of 110 terror attacks have been prevented, and more than 1,000 suspects have been detained in Russia since the beginning of 2024, the National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) said in a statement.

"Since the beginning of this year, 110 terror attacks involving citizens recruited by the enemy have been prevented. Over 1,050 people have been detained for preparing and perpetrating terrorist crimes, justification and propaganda of terrorism, as well as sponsoring, aiding and abetting terrorists," the statement said.

"The activity of 45 clandestine cells of international terrorist organizations was stopped this year by coordinated efforts of law enforcement agencies," the NAC said.
