Resident of Shebekino in Russia's Belgorod region injured in Ukrainian strike - governor

BELGOROD. Aug 22 (Interfax) - A civilian has been injured in a Ukrainian strike on Shebekino in the Belgorod region, the region's governor Vladislav Gladkov said on Thursday.

"An ambulance is taking the man with a shrapnel wound to his leg to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2. All assistance necessary is being provided," Gladkov said on Telegram.

Seven private houses have sustained damage of various kinds; their windows were shattered and the exteriors and fences were scarred, he said.

"The roof of a private house caught fire, which was rapidly put out by firefighting teams. A garage and three cars were also damaged," Gladkov said.
