S-300PS, Tor-M2K missiles launched during Russian-Belarusian exercise at Ashuluk range - Belarusian Defense Ministry

MINSK. Aug 22 (Interfax) - S-300PS and Tor-M2K air defense missiles have been launched during a Russian-Belarusian tactical exercise at the Ashuluk range, the Belarusian Defense Ministry's press service said on Thursday.

"Air defense missile systems are closely interacting with fighter jets and radio-technical units," the press service said.

Belarusian Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin is watching the exercise, it said.

The joint tactical exercise of the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense and the Russian Aerospace Forces began at the Ashuluk range in the Astrakhan region on August 13. The exercise aims to raise cohesion between units and practice new tactics and methods of air defense and air combat by Russian and Belarusian troops.
