YAROSLAVL. Aug 22 (Interfax) - An exercise has taken place in border districts of the Bryansk region, the region's governor Alexander Bogomaz said.
"An exercise has taken place in six border districts of the Bryansk region to practice urgent evacuation in case this is necessary. To this end, we have 12 temporary accommodation facilities for 1,580 residents. If needed, we can deploy [shelters] for up to 32,000 people," Bogomaz said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
He added that 536 people, including 148 children, have moved from the Kursk region to the Bryansk region.
"Work has been carried out with all families, they are staying in our municipalities. Enrollment in kindergartens and schools has been organized. Temporary accommodation centers took in 52 people," Bogomaz said.
