MOSCOW. Aug 23 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have detected and neutralized a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group near Kamyshevka in the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday.
"An enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group was detected and eliminated near the community of Kamyshevka," it said.
The Ukrainian army's losses in the area included five soldiers and one vehicle, it said.
Reconnaissance and search measures to detect and neutralize the Ukrainian Armed Forces' sabotage groups in the region's forests are continuing, it said.
"Airstrikes, artillery fire and strikes by forces hit concentrations of troops and hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 22nd, 61st and 115th Mechanized Brigades and 80th Air Assault Brigade near Apanasovka, Alexandria, Vishnevka, Guyevo, Mikhailovka, Lyubimovka, Malaya Loknya, Plekhovo, Snagost and Yuzhny," it said.
Russian tactical aircraft also carried out strikes on concentrations of reserve troops and military hardware of nine brigades and a rifle battalion of the Ukrainian army near Alexandrovka, Bachevsk, Buyankino, Vorozhba, Glukhov, Kamenka, Miropolye, Mogritsa, Novaya Sloboda, Obody, Pervomaiskoye, Pavlovka, Svessa, Seredina-Buda and Tolstodubovo in the Sumy region, it said.
