Woman injured in Ukrainian attack on Rzhevka village in Russia's Belgorod region - governor

BELGOROD. Aug 23 (Interfax) - Ukraine has attacked a number of communities in the Shebekino urban district in the Belgorod region, injuring one person, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Friday.

"The village of Rzhevka came under attack. A woman was injured. Paramedics are taking her to Belgorod City Hospital No. 2 with a shrapnel wound to the leg. All necessary assistance is being provided," Gladkov said on Telegram.

Six houses in the village have been damaged, he said.

The attack damaged the roof of a property in Shebekino, he said.

"In the village of Murom, four drones attacked two farms, damaging the warehouses at one and the roof and windshield of a GAZelle vehicle at the other. Another drone detonated on the grounds of a property, damaging a garage and the house," Gladkov said.

In the Shebekino urban district, the villages of Murom, Ziborovka, Shamino, Korovino and parts of Novaya Tavolzhanka remain without power. Emergency services are working to restore the electricity supply.
