Ukraine's armed forces attack 5 settlements in Russia's Belgorod region - governor

MOSCOW. Aug 26 (Interfax) - Five settlements in Russia's Belgorod region have been attacked from the Ukrainian side, the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"According to preliminary information, no one was injured," Gladkov said on Telegram on Monday.

In the Shebekino urban district, the village of Rzhevka came under shellfire and an attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle, he said. The shelling resulted in damage to the rooftops, fronts and glazing in two apartment blocks. In one property, windows have been smashed and the front and fence have been chipped. An administrative building, fence, a truck and a car have been damaged on the grounds of an enterprise. The drone attack chipped the rooftop, windows and a gas pipe at one property. In the village of Maslova Pristan, three drones attacked an agricultural enterprise, breaching the rooftops of the buildings of production facilities.

In the Belgorod district's village of Otradnoye, a car has burned down as a result of detonation of a kamikaze drone, the governor said.

In the village of Beryozovka in the Borisovka district, a drone detonated near a property, its fragments chipped the fence.

In the village of Vyazovoye in the Krasnaya Yaruga district, a property has burned down as a result of a first-person view drone strike.
