MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Armed Forces have carried out strikes on Ukrainian army units in the Sumy region and in the border areas of the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.
"Tactical aircraft carried out strikes on areas with concentrations of reserve troops and military hardware of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 41st and 5th Mechanized Brigades and 80th and 82nd Air Assault Brigades, the 1st National Guard Brigade and the 101st, 103rd and 107th Territorial Defense Brigades near Atinskoye, Belopolye, Baranovka, Vorozhba, Glybnoye, Katerinovka, Orlovka, Pokrovka, Pervomaiskoye, Pustogorod, Pershe Travnya and Esman in the Sumy region," it said.
Russian units, backed by air forces and artillery, struck troops of the Ukrainian army's 22nd, 61st and 115th Mechanized Brigades and 80th and 82nd Air Assault Brigades and the 1004th Guard and Logistics Brigade near Apanasovka, Borki, Bogdanovka, Viktorovka, Desyaty Oktyabr, Kruglenkoye, Kazachya Loknya, Lyubimovka, Mikhailovka, Novoivanovka, Plekhovo and Snagost in the Kursk region, it said.
