KURSK REGION. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The risk of a nuclear incident has emerged in the area of the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi said at a press conference after visiting the Kursk NPP.
Grossi said he had accepted Russian President Vladimir Putin's invitation to visit the Kursk NPP, as the IAEA is an international organization responsible for ensuring the nuclear and energy security of nuclear facilities worldwide.
His visit aimed to personally assess the situation at the Kursk NPP and find a solution together with Russian colleagues, he said.
