Kremlin: No prerequisites for peace talks with Ukraine now

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - There are no prerequisites for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine now, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"It's more than obvious that there are no prerequisites for such negotiations now," Peskov told journalists on Wednesday.

He also replied in the negative when asked whether Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed any specific peace plan for Ukraine.

However, "the Indian side has consistently followed the line of a peaceful settlement, a settlement through political and diplomatic means," and Moscow shares Delhi's position in this respect, he said.
