MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - The Kremlin has accused Kiev of aggravating the nuclear danger in the context of attacks on the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).
While commenting on International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi's recent visit to the Kursk region, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists that, "for understandable reasons, [the IAEA] says it has no powers to name those responsible for the strikes, but everything is so obvious here that, of course, there can be no questions about it."
"It's more than obvious that Ukraine is to blame for aggravating the nuclear danger," Peskov said.
Alexei Likhachev, CEO of Russia's Rosatom state atomic energy corporation, voiced his overall impressions from Grossi's visit to the Kursk NPP on Tuesday, Peskov said. "He said Grossi saw the results of drone strikes on the plant and assessed the threat that those strikes could have posed," he said.
