MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - A police raid in the Moscow region has detected 120 foreigners staying in Russia in violation of law, Moscow region police department spokesperson Tatyana Petrova said.
"Administrative motions were drafted in the raid over a breach of the rules of stay in Russia by 120 foreign citizen under Article 18.8 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses. Nineteen of them were held liable for illegal work in Russia under Article 18.10 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses and one for dodging administrative penalty under Part 3, Article 20.25 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses," Petrova told reporters.
Natives of Commonwealth of Independent States member states and African countries employed at a warehouse were among the fined migrants, she said.
"Each foreigner was fined 5,000 rubles before being deported from Russia, and 31 migrants were put in a specialized facility until the enforcement of the court order," Petrova said.
Police are looking for illegal migration enablers.
