Russian Defense Ministry: Su-34 bomber strikes Ukrainian positions in Kursk region (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - A Sukhoi Su-34 bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces has struck Ukrainian troops and armored vehicles in a border district of the Kursk region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"Upgraded air bombs with a universal glide and correction module struck the reconnoitered camouflaged enemy targets," the ministry said.

"Once intelligence confirmed the elimination of Ukrainian troops and armored vehicles, the crew returned to the airfield of departure," it said.

The ministry released footage of the strike on Friday.

It also circulated images of a Ukrainian Armed Forces tank being struck by a Lancet loitering munition.

"While reconnoitering a border area in the Kursk region, troops from the northern group of forces detected a camouflaged position of a Ukrainian Armed Forces tank. After analyzing the obtained intelligence, it was decided to suppress the enemy fighting vehicle with fire," it said.
