Russian forces take control of Zavetnoye in DPR - Russian Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Russia's central group of forces has taken control of Zavetnoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and has repelled eight Ukrainian counterattacks, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Thursday.

"As a result of active operations, units from the central group of forces have taken control of Zavetnoye in the DPR," the ministry said in a statement.

Eight attacks by Ukrainian assault groups were repelled, it said.
