Agenda of Russia-Uzbekistan relations includes all security aspects - Shoigu

ST. PETERSBURG. Sept 11 (Interfax) - The agenda of the actively developing relationship between Russia and Uzbekistan includes all possible security aspects, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu said.

Shoigu had a bilateral working meeting with Secretary of the Uzbek Presidential Security Council Viktor Makhmudov on the sidelines of a meeting between high security representatives of the BRICS and BRICS+ countries.

"We value trusting relations with our friendly counterparts," which are based on friendly relations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Shoigu said.

"During Vladimir Putin's state visit to Tashkent on May 26-27 this year, we reiterated our common desire to actively develop full-scale relations between our countries in all areas. This concerns both interagency and interregional relations," Shoigu said.

"And definitely, everything that concerns security matters is also on the agenda," he said.
