MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Russian Baltic Fleet corvettes have practiced missile strikes on mock enemy ships during the Ocean 2024 strategic command post exercise, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
"A Baltic Fleet strike group comprising the Sovetsk and Zelyony Dol corvettes practiced a missile strike on targets simulating groups of a mock enemy warships and coastal facilities at significant distances as part of the Ocean 2024 strategic command post exercise," the statement said.
The ships performed electronic launches of Kalibr missiles, it said.
"The ships also practiced damage control, anti-sabotage defense during anchorage on unprotected roadsteads, interaction and communication between ships, and joint navigation," the ministry said.
