WASHINGTON. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The United States has included three entities of RT television and two Russians in its sanctions lists, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Friday.
"Today, we're imposing sanctions on three entities and two individuals for Russia's covert global influence operations," Blinken said at the U.S. Department of State.
He said he was referring to alleged Russian interference in elections worldwide, in particular in Moldova.
According to a document of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, sanctions have been imposed on the Rossiya Segodnya agency and its general director and TV presenter Dmitry Kiselyov.
In addition, sanctions have been imposed on the Evrazia autonomous non-commercial organization and its head Nelli Parutenko, and also on the TV-Novosti autonomous non-commercial organization.
