Eight injured in attack on Russia's Belgorod, suburbs - governor

VORONEZH. Sept 16 (Interfax) - Eight people were injured in the attack on Belgorod and its suburbs on Monday morning, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said.

"According to the preliminary information, eight civilians are injured. A woman is critical, while the others have injuries of medium severity. Ambulances took the wounded to Belgorod hospitals," Gladkov said on Telegram.

Direct strikes set fire to a private house and over 15 vehicles. Firemen have put out open flames, he said.

In Belgorod, windows are smashed in 21 apartment buildings, a private house has burned to the ground, windows, roofs and facades of four private houses are damaged. A gas pipeline has also been damaged, Gladkov said.

Apartment buildings, the roof of a private house, a garage and a fence are damaged in Dubovoye in the Belgorod district, and four cars are scratched by shrapnel, he said.
