Iran intends to develop relations with Russia, China, other BRICS members - president

DUBAI. Sept 16 (Interfax) - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said he plans to boost cooperation with BRICS member states, the Mehr news agency reported.

"Iran will continue to develop relations with Russia, China, and BRICS states," he said at a press conference on Monday.

Washington "should first prove its good intentions," he said commenting on Iran-U.S. relations.

"Iran will never accept bullying," he said.

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Ahmadian, "Cooperation with Russia also remains a priority for the team of new President Pezeshkian. We welcome him at the BRICS summit in Kazan on October 22-24."
