Russian DM discusses security of population, infrastructure in border territories with heads of Kursk, Belgorod, Bryansk regions (Part 2)

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) - Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov has chaired a meeting of the coordination council for military security of border territories, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

"Andrei Belousov and the heads of three regions have discussed the implementation of a package of measures for ensuring security of the population and infrastructure in border areas proposed by the coordination council's taskforce," the ministry said.

The heads of the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions attended the meeting, it said.

At the meeting, "the Russian defense minister listened to the reports of his deputies and the commanders of the groups of forces on the current situation and measures for the sufficient and timely provision of troops with weapons, military and special hardware, materiel and technical supplies, and medical and engineering support," it said.
