MOSCOW. Sept 20 (Interfax) - The Russian Aerospace Forces have downed three Ukrainian fighter aircraft, including one MiG-29 and two Sukhoi Su-27s in aerial engagements over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Friday.
"The Russian Aerospace Forces have destroyed three Ukrainian Air Force planes, a MiG-29 and two Su-27s, in aerial battles," it said.
Air defense systems have downed another MiG-29 fighter of the Ukraine Air Force, as well as seven ATACMS tactical missiles, 12 Hammer guided air bombs, 42 HIMARS rockets, and 305 fixed-wing drones, including 153 outside of the special military operation zone, it said.
Fifty-three Ukrainian soldiers have surrendered on the line of contact in the past week, it said.
A total of 646 planes, 283 helicopters, 31,806 unmanned aerial vehicles, 579 air defense missile systems, 18,303 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,457 multiple rocket launcher vehicles, 14,903 field artillery systems and mortars, and 26,289 special military vehicles have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation, it said.
