MOSCOW. Sept 20 (Interfax) - The Russian government has approved a list of foreign countries and territories that pursue policies imposing destructive neoliberal ideological patterns that are inconsistent with traditional Russian spiritual and ethical values.
The corresponding government order issued on September 17 and signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was published on the official website of legal information on Friday.
The list features 47 countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom (including the Crown Dependencies and the British Overseas Territories), Ukraine, Germany, and Austria, the government order says.
The list also includes Australia, Albania, Andorra, The Bahamas, Belgium, Bulgaria, Greece, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Micronesia, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Korea, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, Slovenia, Taiwan (China), Finland, France, Croatia, Montenegro, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia, Japan.
The list has been approved in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Russian Presidential Executive Order No. 702 of August 19, 2024 On Providing Humanitarian Support to Individuals Sharing Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values, it says.
The government order takes effect on the day of its official publication.
On August 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an executive order stating that anyone who has expressed the desire to relocate to Russia from a country pursuing policies inconsistent with traditional Russian moral and spiritual values may submit an application for temporary residence without proving any knowledge of the Russian language, history or legislation.
