LONDON. Sept 20 (Interfax) - The administration of U.S. President Joe Biden fears that a change of policy with regard to Ukraine using long-range weapons to strike Russian territory could damage the election campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris, the British radio station LBC said on Friday, citing sources.
"There is nervousness in President Biden's top team that the move could harm Kamala Harris' re-election campaign," LBC said.
Eventually, the United States and Britain may approve Kiev's use of long-range weapons for strikes on Russia, but will do so "in private" and will not officially announce the decision until "after the first missiles have been fired," LBC said.
A final decision could be made as early as next week, during the UN General Assembly, the station said, echoing the view of other Western media outlets.
