MOSCOW. Sept 23 (Interfax) - The future security architecture in Europe should be built with due account of Russia's interests, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"With the European security architecture changing rapidly, we need to build a totally new European security structure," Peskov said on Monday. He was asked to comment on French President Emmanuel Macron's words that Europe will need to re-think its relations with Russia in the future.
"The entire system of international relations is changing. Going forward, it will require a lot of efforts. Of course, ensuring our lawful security interests and a corresponding system of guarantees will be a matter of special concern for us," Peskov said.
Macron earlier said at an international conference on peace in Paris that it is necessary to "think about a new form of organization of Europe" and re-think relations with Russia.
