MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - Aircraft of the U.S.-led coalition have continued to create dangerous situations in Syria's airspace, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria Capt. 1st rank Oleg Ignasyuk said.
"Two breaches of the deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, by flights of the coalition's unmanned aerial vehicles uncoordinated with the Russian side were recorded over the day," Ignasyuk said at a press briefing on Monday.
Thirteen violations of the rules for using Syria's airspace by two pairs of coalition F-15 fighter jets (twice), a pair of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft (twice), and an MQ-9 reconnaissance and attack drone were recorded over the al-Tanf area over the day, he said.
Two attacks on Syrian forces' positions by the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group, banned in Russia, were recorded in Aleppo province in the Idlib de-escalation area over the past day, Ignasyuk said. A Syrian soldier was killed by sniper fire opened by terrorists on Syrian government forces' positions near Dandanoglu, he said.
