MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - Russia will continue to explain its stance on the Ukraine conflict to Iran, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"We will continue to explain our stance and everything related to the Ukraine conflict to our Iranian friends," Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
He was asked to comment on a remark by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who, according to media, said on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly that Tehran "has never approved of the aggression against Ukraine" and is ready to discuss the Ukraine situation at talks with Europe and the United States.
"That is a sovereign stance of Iran," Peskov said.
Moscow and Tehran have positive interaction in various areas, he said.
"We are expecting this interaction to expand further," he said.
